![]() ![]() And having played all the Yakuza games from start to finish with the exception of Yakuza 5. It is just a different way of worldbuilding, focusing on one thing instead of the entire world. Combine that with how the games have dug deep into stuff that you'd never really think about (such as all the different restaurants, branding, and minigames, and suddenly you've got a living, breathing city that has evolved over the years. There's something to be said for sure about how the series has had 12 games all taking place at least partially within the same city (excluding non-canon spinoff stuff like Streets and Dead souls). Yeah, the grand scale of the trails world itself is much larger, but Kamurocho by itself has received so damn much worldbuilding all by itself.
